A Gold Coast light rail driver recruitment day will be held for locals interested in finding out about tram operator jobs this Saturday.
The event, to be held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on 28 September between 10am and 3pm, will be a chance to speak with experienced operations staff.
GoldLinQ operations partner KDR Gold Coast Managing Director Vivienne King said more than 50 tram operators were needed ahead of passenger services starting in mid-2014.
“We are searching for locals who have a passion for customer service and open personality to operate our trams,” Ms King said.
“To apply, all you need is an open car licence, with successful tram drivers to be trained in all aspects of Gold Coast tram operations in coming months here in the city.”
Ms King said a range of operations-focused jobs, including customer service, maintenance and line officers, would be advertised as they became available.
