Work to electrically connect the existing light rail to the new Stage 2 extension will take place over the weekend of 1-4 September 2017.
During Stage 2 energisation, trams will not be running from Queen Street station to Gold Coast University Hospital station from midnight Friday 1 September until 5am Monday 4 September. Replacement bus services will operate to ensure passengers reach their destination. Services from Queen Street to Broadbeach South stations will not be affected and will run to a normal timetable.
The replacement bus services will stop close to all G:link stations and operate on a similar frequency to the tram timetable but please allow additional time for your journey over these two days. To find your closest stop, check the information map on your nearest station and please remember to touch your go card to a card reader on board the bus, at the beginning and end of your trip.
